I've just started Sandy Littlejohn's Summer Ball:
Progress so far:
I'm doing the front line of people's clothes in mainly rayon or silk threads, and the wall sconce has got gold blending thread in it as well

On 18 count rather than 16 as I prefer 18.
Looking forward to this one, its very fun to do, you can really feel yourself doing well as there is so much detail that you finish quickly.

This is a lovely project. If I wasn't going my front room in an oriental design I think this would look great over my piano. I'd probably make up stories for each person as I stitch them.

This looks lovely. Is there a lot of confetti in the pattern?

No there's not a lot of confetti - not compared to my Carousel Dancer anyway which is JUST confetti!!!
The background is in lots of lines which helps me to keep neat stitches! There will be some confetti in the painting on the wall but fairly small.

Yup, it's in a magazine - spread over 3 issues, I picked them up on ebay last month - someone was selling the exact 3 issues needed. You can get it not in the mag, but you have to search for it!

What a lovely scene, and you've made a great start -- and what a stroke of luck finding exactly those three issues!
