Ok so I live in a little town in Washington state. I have been looking for 18 count aida to work on my first HAED! Ive read enough posts about the topic that I decided to use 18 count instead of the recommended 25 count. So off to Joanns I go. I bought some and came home to get the fabric and threads ready! I was so excited.................Until I realize the amount of fabric I got is too small so off I go back to Joanns (which closes at 6pm being Sunday) I get there 10 minutes before they close, and all they have is 14 count in the 30x36 piece. So I look for the aida on the bolts they only have 11 count and 8 count!!! uuugghh so I bought the 14 count 30x36 piece.
Now here is my question: if the finished piece is 12x16 on 25count than how big is it going to be on 14 count? How do I figure it out?
Is there a simple solution because right know I am extremely confused!!!
Life is too beautiful not to stitch it!

If I understand things correctly, the other way to figure out how large the finished design will be is to take the stitch count, usually listed along with the finished size on the chart/kit. Divide the number of stitches listed by the fabric count (by 14 for 14 count Aida for instance). This should give you the design size in inches for that particular count fabric. Of course if you are stitching over 2 etc, you have to factor that into the calculation.
I hope I'm correct in this, but that is how it was explained to me
