Question about evenweave.

I've got a question for anyone who has stitched on evenweave. I've heard that one over one is nice and it probably gives it a finer finish, so I tried it on a scrap piece that I had. Except when I went to make the cross the threads I. The evenweave moved and distorted my stitch, and I was using a very light tension since I was on evenweave. How do you prevent it from puckering?

Here's a good tip for working over one. I tried it and it really makes a difference.

That sounds like a lot of work and concentration. Thanks though, I understand why mine didn't look good. I'm going to stick to Aida or two over two on evenweave. I like to watch movies or something while I stitch and it sounds like you would need to concentrate more when doing it one over one.

Stitching one over one does take some concentration....I did one on an afghan but it will be the last time I do one over one as my eyes were very sore and tired....even with magnifier glasses and reading glasses to help see the holes....
