butterfly bodies and flower centers are satin stitch and then the bridle and the flower stalks are stem stitches and the rest are crosses

Nice work with the satin stitch!
Thank you for sharing this project with us. I've never done stamped cross-stitch before, so this is fascinating to see. I'm looking forward to your updates.

Your stitching looks great!

How are you enjoying doing stamped cross stitch so far? I did one about 27 years ago and really enjoyed the different types of stitches in it.

I haven't done a stamped since I was 18 and that was the only one.
It looks odd, but the satin stitches look lovely, pixxie.

thanks guys i'm not liking the stamped design at all, finding it really hard to line the crosses up properly, does anyone have any useful tips?

The only thing I could figure out to do was try really hard to make sure my needle entered right underneath the little stamped x. They seemed to line up a bit better that way but it was still hard.

Looking great so far. I feel for you. Stamped kits are a nightmare. If a stamped design had been my introduction to stitching, I would have never again picked up a needle. It's a beautiful design.
Wishing you bounties of patience and perseverance.....

I like the idea of mixing stitching styles into the design... Hopefully when you get into the swing of stitching it will be easier to get your X's in order
