LHN Caffe Latte - FINISHED 07/12/10

This is one of the kits that I just bought on holiday in the US. I really shouldn't have started anything else new but this was calling to me so I bought the fabric for it and have made a start. It came with the chart and Crescent Colours overdyed silks.

The recommended fabric wasn't one that Sewandso stocked but they found me the nearest colour match which was a Permin. It's stiffer than any I've used before but I quite like that the holes are so easy to see, especially as it's 32 count.
The silk is lovely to use - it feels gorgeous as it runs through your fingers and it doesn't tangle at all. I love the way the colour slowly changes too.
This is my progress so far. I'm getting a bit done each day so I think I'll get this finished fairly quickly, even though I don't get much time for stitching and when I do, I'm painfully slow. I'm really enjoying this one though.

It does look as if the coverage is a bit thinner than I'm used to but that may be because of the fabric I'm using. It's not bugging me so it's not a problem - just an observation.
