Hi,

I just wanted ot post pictures of my current project. This is rose of sharon by mirabilia. I started it about 2 months ago when I finished venetian elegance.

Again I'm stitching it over 1 on 32 count (yay no beads on this one!)

I started with the overhead part becuase if i did her first- id never do the background. Next ill move on to the bottom of the skirt. I'll probably have to put her away shortly as I have a huge project coming up that will take a few months of my time.

Thanks for letting me share.

The design is here:

Wow what a great start, and I love the fabric colour. It compliments the design quite nicely. As well as a :applesauce: to you for doing one over one. It looks so tiny and i can only be brave enough to do 2 over 2 on evenweave. But that's too bulky so I always stick to 18 count Aida.

Its really beautiful Lauren and great you are stitching over 1, it really brings it to life.

You have reminded me that i have that chart somewhere too. Mmm something else for that "one day" dream.

She is beautiful and your stitching is so neat! I can understand why you're keeping her for last, good thinking :-)!

Great stitching. I think this is one of Corbett's better designs. Your over-one treatment is really going to add impact. Bigger isn't always better.....

I love your 'over-one' projects, so exquisite. This is a beautiful design - I have it in my stash, you've reminded me it's on my to-do-one-day list - I shall enjoy watching her grow. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Are we allowed a sneaky peak of your upcoming major project, or is that under wraps until this one is finished?

Thank you so much for all of hte compliments :) Im very excited about this one.

My other major project isnt xstitching- I design clothes and have been accepted into my cities fashion week as an emerging designer. In march I will show 6 pieces :) Lots and lots of sewing and draping to do before then!

hopefully ill get some stitch time in when i need a (mental) break from designing
