HAED - View From The Creek - Started December 11/10

Post by Imme »

I must be crazy but I am going to start a third project. This one is called View From The Creek by Dennis Lewan. It will also be my first HAED. I just bought all of the supplies as a Christmas gift to myself and figure it will be a while before I make my first stitch as I have to bobbin all that thread and would like to try out gridding for the first time.
Looking at the first page and dealing with that tree as the first thing is going to be rough, but I guess it is best to get the confetti pages done first while you still have that new project rush to get you through it  .

Nice choice. I like Lewan's work, too. I think I have his "The Gift of Christmas" on my HAED wishlist. Look forward to seeing your progress. :)

I applaud anyone who stitches a HAED because I am so scared of them, lol. It looks beautiful. I am going to enjoy watching your progress. How long do you think it will take you?

There are a few of Dennis' works that I would love to stitch as I really like the landscape/animal designs the most. I wish HAED had more of those type of designs. As I have a dutch background and been there a few times this one pulled at me the most, but Beacon Ridge was a very close second.

Oiralinde, I don't have a clue how long this one is going to take me to complete, but when I compare how slow I am with my eagle, I imagine that it will take me a few years  . Oh while, I'll just take it one day at a time. On the plus side, I want to get some of those mountains done on Silent Flight first before I start stitching this one, so this has been a great motovator this past weekend to work on SF.
