My first project for 2011 will be a bag / case for my sister to keep her circular knitting needles in. The case will be about 17"x12"x3" so should be large enough to keep a good stash of needles. The front will have a cross stitched design:
I will be stitching this on 32 count linen by Picture This Plus in "Woodland" (it's a dark green shade) and I'm stitching with Caron Waterlilies in Celadon. I just received my threads in the mail today so will be starting this after work tonight.

very nice choice! I'm sure your sister will love it. Those circular needles can be a pain to store.

Ha, I know, currently she has them in an old keyboard case

I figured this would be nicer

oooohhh.. another AAN design being worked on! Her designs are so fun and your floss/ fabric selection looks great. I will certainly pull up the magic bench and watch this one develop.

I have an update on this one finally. Since my sister's birthday was in January, I wanted to stitch her something small she could have while I am finishing her big present

So I stitched up a little biscornu using the same fabric & threads as I am using for the knitting needle case. Here it is:
Front:

Back:

Side:

And here is an update on the big project:

It doesn't feel like I've done a lot on this, but I did finish the bag outline which was over 1500 backstitches, so I am making some progress
