I am making my wonderful mother-in-law a birthday and ai have a question. What do you use to attach the fabric to the paper? I searched and read double sided sticky tape, but I don't know if that would hold it well and couldn't it damage the threads/fabric? Just wondering what you do.

I usually use hot glue but you have to be a bit careful so the glue does not seep through and also you can burn your finger very easily!!!!!

I use double sided, never had any problems at all with it.

Double sided sticky tape for me as well.

I often use double sided tape or craft glue - not the hot one.

Either work well.

i had made a tutorial a long time ago..i think i'll be making a new one soon..as I now use a better technique..double sided tape. It works much better than the glue technique I was using...

I usually use craft glue... but since you've all used double sided tape with great results I plan on trying it out for the next card I make

I think double sided tape is the winner! Thank you! My mother-in-law introduced me to cross stitching and I wanted to pay her back a little. I made her an ornament for Christmas and she loved it.

I use double sided tape but I use it at the top, bottom and sides only. This way there is no way of causing any damage to the stitching, especially if I have to adjust the placement.

Double sided sticky tabe holds incredibly well. It's what I use, and it's not that bad on the threads either. It seems to like to stay with the threads more than the card so when you pull the stitching off, it destroys the card before the stitching. I tend to put it around the design though rather that over the stitching.
