Does this mean I am a hardanger-er?

Whilst I was unable to access the forum and was waiting for pt 18 of Castles, I decided to have a go at this.
Mabel also sent me one of her patterns but I thought this looked a tad easier. Delft is my next piece for sure.

They were in a kit Mabel. A DMC kit so I guess theirs. I compared them though and they are definately perle #5 the one in a twist and not a ball - can you tell I stocked up for Delft? Shades of coffee and cream!!

Fab job Midge, clever you!
You are SO going to love doing delft. Can't wait to see it, the colours sound lovely ... almost sort of ... chocolately! :choc:

Thank svery much everyone. I did enjoy it very much . My heart almost stopped when I had to cut it and I have found it very hard to get the ends tucked it but C'est la vie.
TB, yes to the choccie look, I had a choc chip cookie and a latte at the cafe next to the craft shop before I went in so maybe this played with my mind. :D
Good job I didn't have a warm Ribena and a cucumber sandwich.

Ribena and cucumber :thinks: that would be greens and purples, could actually look really nice! But I love the coffee & cream colours too, looking forward to seeing it take shape!

As for the cut ends, I'm rather obsessive about them and get rid of all of them. If you look at them you will see that along every Kloster block there are four, and two of them will naturally point up, and two down. Using a 24 needle inserted into the Kloster block I stroke the two that point upwards back on themselves until they disappear into the Kloster block, then turn the work over and do the same with the two pointing downwards. Does that make sense? It's labour intensive but in the end all cut ends are invisible!

Thanks Mabel, I will have a go at shoving the ends away. I could definately be a bit OCD about it I think.
