I got a freebie pattern of an owl bookmark. It uses something called FurTa Thread. Can anybody tell me where to find a retailer in the US?

I've found other free patterns using it on google but no where to buy. It's very frustrating.
Here's the link to the freebie and what it'll look like. It's so cute!

IF so the dollar tree near me has it really cheap, look at "Dollar Tree's" before you go to a fabric/yarn store...Do you guys have "Dollar Tree's" where you are in GA? I know we do up here!

Edit
Found it found it you have to google "FutraStitch"

Ok.... I am too chicken to google FurTaStitch, but I have a possible solution!

Try Rainbow Gallery threads. They have several options for fur like threads, fancy fur, faux fur, fuzzy stuff and fuzzy yarns.

Hope I helped :D

Maemae -Yes we have a dollar tree but I know it doesn't carry the yarn. I think the one in Fernandina Beach does though.
Also the websites the Furta stitch people send you to for those in the US no longer carry it.

Dwiit -come on you know you want to google.

Very cute bookmark--so cute I've saved it. Hope you find threads you are after. I'm thinking I will just substitute in regular DMC if I stitch it--make up better for me if I use it as a bookmark :) Thanks for posting the link :applesauce: :applesauce:

I do hope you manage to find the fur thread, or at least something that will work out for you, I'd love to see it stitched up using it--bet it would make a really nice small picture. Good luck, and let us know!! :)

I do hope you find it, its getting quite interesting.

A thought from me - well a couple anyway. Have you googled Tam's Stitches and see if she has a web site which could maybe point you in the right direction for the thread/fur

I also noticed the white cross on the red ground motif at the top of the page above her name ??Swiss perhaps and maybe the FurtaStitch is a French word???
