Since i have been away i have been trying bits of hardanger. They are not as fabulous as mabels but i am still quite pleased with them. Im still struggling with m y dove eyes and i cant seem to get the hang of the four sided stitch but im sure i will get it soon.

Good start! Dove's eyes can be challenging at first, but practice really does help. I have certainly taken them out and redone them lots of times when they just went wrong, so don't worry about that!

thank you all for the encouragement. this is taking a back seat at the moment till i make more progress with my fairy. i got some card designs by col's creation which i got for christmas which are next on my to do list. this does of course mean going to by more threads lol.
