Dinosaur height chart from WOXS 122 and 123 up for grabs

Post by Kute Kitty »

You may remember I was attempting to stitch the dinosaur height chart from World of Cross Stitching numbers 122 and 123 last year, for my nephew. It's now got so big and heavy that my little stand can't hold the frame any more, I'm less than half way through it, and I've realised that actually big projects really aren't for me. I've resolved to cut out the bottom pairing of dinosaurs (mother and baby), stitch something around it about how his mother will always love him that hopefully he won't find too offensive to his delicate male sensibilities, and frame that.

I would love to see the chart finally actually stitched up though, if anyone would like to take it off my hands. It is 3 feet long when finished and takes about a metre and a half of 14 count aida to stitch it all on. This is what it would look like when all finished...

First to PM me their address can have it, anywhere in the world :) This is just for the charts, not the full magazines.

This has now been claimed by corby_stitcher.

To be honest I'm getting the point that I'm sick of seeing it and I know it'll take me months and months of hard work (yep it's become work, it's stopped being fun) to finish the thing...and I'll have to hold the heavy frame in my hand while I do it because my poor little stand can't support it any more. I hope someone else can give it a good home though.

It is a shame that you have got to this point but I completely understand. Some projects just need to be abandonded. Good luck!!!

Sorry you have gotten to this point. That sorta happened with me with the little hearts SAL I got behind...really behind and then I had charted the whole piece of fabric and the designer kept going back and fourth with how she gridded her charts and it just got frustrating I finally just gave up. Its creative that you have found a way to finish it, with a personal note that will probably mean more anyway!!

I am not interested in the chart though I am sure someone here will be, have fun looking for you next project!!

Aw that's a shame you didn't feel like feel like finishing it, such a great design.

But if it shops being fun then I wouldn't carry on either.
I would have done each dinosaur on separate piece of aida.
Finished:
Massive Disney design
Freddie mercury (for my mum)
Ocras at play.
Dolphins.
