I'm not very good at posting in SAL's so I've decided that this year I'm going to post all of my finishes.

I have made thia peice for my Mother as a gift for Mothers day. We are not very touchy feely in my family, but we are all really close, my Mom is constantly stressed out and we all load our problems onto her without meaning to and she does to much to try and sort them out. She is so proud of my stitching......more than my RAF career spaning 11 years and 2 warzones??? lol

This isn't my first 2011 finish....I finished the Easter siccor fob exchange first, I'll post pics when it's been sent and recieved!

A wonderful gift you have made for your mom. She's a lucky mom to have a daughter take the time to make her something like this. Your stitching is great.

Thanks.....I hope she does....got a frame yesterday so I just need a mount. I will post more pics when it's framed.

Johanna said she was very pleased....which made me happy because I was nervous...I've never made anything like this before. I really enjoyed making it and recieveing mine from Alice in Chicago, the one she made for me is beautiful as well as the threads and card she sent, very generous. I am now a number 1 exchange fan!

So sorry to have been away from this forum for so long.....life got majorly in the way, I've been too depressed and tired to stitch or write! There was a part in this stitch I skipped out for fear of not wanting to finish it, it involed cutting the fabric and placing ribbon in.....frankly I was far to terrfied to do it!





I learnta lot of new techniques doing this sampler...it was frustrating at times as the instructions weren't brilliant, but I managed to find alternatives on the net!
I have made this to pass down to my Daughter, Lily, I hope she may pass it down to her children as well! Sorry for the picture quality, I took them on my blackberry a bit to close.
