I put a picture in my gallery of my first attempt at blackwork. ( I had to delete some pics as it was full
) It is a Christmas card. The back is not so great, guess I will have to work on that

You should be very proud. It looks wonderful. Don't worry too much about the back. Next time you are in a museum, have a look at the backs of some 16th-century blackwork... a web of thread. It's often the only thing that's holding these old pieces together.

It is lovely.
Funny, I have been thinking about doing blackwork trees for christmas cards - haven't got started yet though

I wonder if carefully chosen beads would look nice on blackwork Christmas trees?

Pretty tree I like the way it looks and who cares about the back. The chorus line is very cute also.
Great idea Jilly decorate your tree.
I am in the process of adding the table runner to my gallery.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

The pattern suggested beads and sequins, also pressies around the tree, but I wanted to keep it simple.
Thanks for all your kind words.
