Where can I get Q snaps?

Hi everyone I'm Sam and this is my first post, so forgive me if Im asking something that is obvious!
I have stitched a few things on aida without using any frame before but I've always wanted to try stitching on linen, and, as it's my birthday in a month or so my hubby has ordered me a lovely mirabilia chart and kit. Anyhoo I would like to try a frame and I quite like the look of the Q snaps, but can't seem to find a stockist in the UK. Can anyone help me?
Also I'm unsure as to what size to use.....is it best to have Q snaps that are big enough so that you can stitch the entire piece or is it better to get smaller ones and move it around like a hoop?
Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam, welcome to the forum
Google R&R Frames .... think they are the UK equivalent

Hi Sam, welcome to the forum.
You're best to look around, prices vary, but I found it cheaper to get mine from Sewandso rather than direct from R&R.

I've seen them on ebay as well, but like I say, compare prices first.

If I were you I would order Qsnaps from the states they hold the fabric much tighter than r & R (I have both) also they are cheaper there so you are no worse off 123 stitch do them I think

Thanks everyone,
I have opted for the Qsnaps as they seem to have been recommended more than R&R on other threads too. Oooo I'm getting excited now, can't wait to get stitching!

I love q snaps too!! I have the 6 x 6 inch size that I use for my smallish projects, but you can definitely move them around without damage to your stitching. I always remove though when I am done for the night.
You could try ebay or google shopping...

I have a 6", a few 8" and an 11" QSnaps and I love them. The ones I have also allow me to make different combinations with them - I never have used the 11" as a square instead I have 2 8"x11" frames (which is about all that I can handle weight wise).

This is something I am looking into and have found Qsnaps listed on quiltdirect.co.uk. It looks as though they can be used for quilting projects as well as embroidery, which is useful as I dabble in both. Good luck with your project.
