Blue water soluble marker

I recently picked up one of these pens to grid my next project and started doing the lines. Then I looked at the directions and it says not to leave on the fabric for more then two weeks or it could become permenant.

Anyone that has one of these pens, has it been a problem getting the lines out long after you put them on (even a year later)? I'd like to know as I would expect this project to take me a very long time and would hate to find out in a few years that it was for not since the marker lines won't come out of the fabric.

Thanks in advance!

You should have no trouble getting it out. I also saw that it said to leave it in no longer than two weeks, so I did an experiment. I had the marks on there for about a month, and they washed right out with absolutely no effort on my part.

On my current project, I started to grid the entire thing, and the lines are beginning to fade before my eyes. Not so good for the grid, but at least it means I won't have any trouble washing it out.

I had a grid courtesy of one of these markers one on my projects for about 8 months (I never read instructions, not sure I would've risked it otherwise...) and it washed out just fine. Lots and lots of cold water and it all came right out.

I just finished my bless this home and I had my blue lines on for 9 months...when I was done I took it into the guest bathroom which we hardly use the tube filled it about an inch with cold water...put in my project and swished it around then used the woolite to clean...They came out no problem. but I am not sure what brand you are using.

I too have left the blue lines for a while on my projects. I think I am close to about 4 months on one.. and know the marks will be there for another 3 months or so. Some projects I draw lines all over the place.. or fill in confetti stitches so they are not overlooked. Never had a problem removing the marks with cold water.
They probably have the warning so they can get out of any complaint... well the warning says not to leave it on for more than 2 weeks... Honestly though if I am stitching something large enough where I need to grid, its going to take me longer than 2 weeks to stitch.

I use a marker from "Prym". I have the lines on my Aurora Cabin for a couple of weeks now and I have no problem getting them out. But the instructions don't say anything about leaving the markings only for a limited time (otherwise I didn't read it :D )

I think the name brand is "Clover". Glad to hear nobody has any problems with it even after months of being applied. Then I will continue to grid with the pen.

Many thanks!
