I've started on my husband's unit crest...it's only three colors but will take a bit of time.

the completed crest will look like this 
He's with the tenth mountain division, 4th brigade. It's an infantry unit.

Certainly bright colours in the crest and what a lovely thought for you to do it whilst he is away. He will be surprised when he gets back and finds all the things you have stitched.
