My new project is a cushion I made 12 years ago. Any yellow areas are worn down so that you can see the fabric. Apparently I tried to be thrifty by using some floss I had lying around. The rest of the stitching is done with DMC floss and looks as good as new.
I am not so much frogging as picking fuzz off the fabric using tweezers. I will then wash it in the machine, then restitch, with DMC this time.
What a shame, but looks like you know how to fix the problem. Will you have to replace all of the yellow or just the areas its missing? And good to know there is a reason to buy and use the better threads. I've thought now and then about getting something different, but worried about colors matching. Never really used anything but DMC and it washes well.
