Hi Everyone,

Wow, long time since ive been on here!

Im not sure if im allowed to do this or not on here....but I thought there maybe people on this forum who may be interested...

After looking for a course or group for myself to no avail (!) Ive just set a sewing group in Dewsbury. Its really for like minded people to bring along their projects, support and inspire each other, have a good old natter and tea and cake!!! You will just need to bring your own machine, any sewing bits and bats you need and fabric.

Our first meeting will be on Saturday 21st May, 12-3PM. I will have to charge (£5) to cover rent and refreshments, and if there is any pennies left it can go towards bringing in a tutor to provide sewing lessons/workshops or just for a social night out!

There are 4 of us now so far. I think it will be great, just somewhere for us all to go and have a good chin wag, and sew! Which is great!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to report that the group went well, we enjoyed it. Proven to be inspirational and motivational, as now I have loads of projects in my head to do for the next groups!

I must admit, this time I didnt get much sewing done! Talked quite a bit, but can get straight on next time as we have got to know each other a little.

Really glad I decided to do it.
