Lauren's Little Projects 2011

I'm taking a slight break from my Cinderella project for at least the next few days. It takes a lot of mental focus for me to stitch that one and I honestly don't have the time right now. Doctor's appts, children, psychology class, housework, etc... enough to keep me on my toes!

So, I decided to get started on some smaller projects that I can throw together in a small amount of time to satisfy the stiching bug and give me some sense of accomplishment.

I got some new stash the other day (a few clearance kits, some blank bookmarks, and an alphabet chart book) thanks to my husband's lovely grandparents and chose to put together a bookmark that my husband had requested. It's the first time I'd even patterned something out on my own and, while it's not perfect, I'm really pleased with the results.

I think for now I'm not going to worry about covering the back of it. My husband says it looks a bit like another language and I have to say I agree!

I may be stitching another one of these up in the next few days for someone at church. If the colors are different I'll post another pic!

Great bookmark, I like the combination of different fonts and colours! (and the back is the same verse in Hebrew, surely :-)?)

:D That's what I'm going to tell everyone  Certainly looks that way to me!

I have my husband to thank for the colors. It was his idea to have Redeemer in red. I think I'll get his opinion on more projects in the future LOL
