Shells in the Sand - updated 6/19

Here is my next project. I found this and thought my mom would like it for her beach themed laundry room. I thought it was neat that it comes with a mat for once it's finished.

For now I only have a picture of the package. It says it's a "weekend project" but it will take me a bit longer to complete. I hope to be a bit cleaner on this one than I was with my first project, now that I have the hang of most things.

Cute project! This would actually look good in my den once I get it decorated. I'm going to keep my eyes open for this kit!

I'm looking forward to seeing this. The mat is cool. I think it would take me more than a week end to do it too.

That's lovely. I don't think I could do it in a weekend either though :)

Lovely project, I am sure that your mum will love it for her laundry room. Never take any notice of how long they say a project will take because it depends on the that the stitcher stitches, the number of hours they put into it and things like disruptions.

Looking forward to seeing this progress.

I love that one. I did an afghan once that had a sea/fisherman motif for my husband and had several designs with sea shells. The one you picked is very pretty. I can't wait to see your updates.

Got a chance to start this today. My stitching isnt as clean as I would like but I'm hoping I will get better with that with more practice.

I think it looks just fine. Remember we are our own worst critics. So enjoy the stitching and don't over analyze. :silenced:

lol!! This is 110% true. I am a graphic designer and I am never satisfied with any of my work. I always see the imperfections first.

Thank you for the compliment. The little bit of this project I have done so far I can tell I will enjoy this one more than my humming bird project.
