Nachos Tartan terriers - framed!

I thought I would have a nice relaxing break now my stargazer is finished and have a go at a small project. I posted a thread a while ago asking if anyone knew of any nice scottie charts that were not the little ones that are on the bookmarks. Well Rosemary came through for me  and kindly sent me a set of three charts from World of Cross stitch of tartan terriers, there is a scottie, a westie and a yorkie. Luckily my in-laws are obsessed with scotties, my aunt has just recently got a yorkie and some very kind folks who gave us a range cooker for free  are westie mad so I will be stitching all three at some point this year to give as christmas gifts.

Anyhoo I have decided to start with the scottie for my in-laws.

Here is what he will look like

And this is what I have done so far...

I'm really enjoying stitching this, the 14ct aida is much easier on the eye than the 28ct linen I used on my last project and floss is sooooo nice after doing tons of beading with invisible thread, and don't get me started on beading needles :smelly: !!

They are such cute little dogs and your project is going to be so loved when it is done I am sure. Well done Rosemary for coming through with the charts for you.

Not sure I like the sound of stitching for Christmas though, brings it that much closer.

This is so, so cute!

I'm dog crazy and I can't wait to see your Yorkie project because I have a little darling myself. He even wears a tartan collar. It's kinda Burberry to match the color scheme of his hair.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments
Wow this seems so quick to stitch! Five days in and this is where I'm up to. Having said that tho the magazine says it should take two weeks to complete all three!! Don't think that's gonna happen unless I stitched for a living!!

For some reason my camera keeps showing up a little orangey yellow hue on the aida....it's not really there tho...honest  My aida is ice blue really, more like the colour in the bottom left corner of the photo. I should really take photos in the daytime but then again I only really stitch in the evenings so I don't really get round to doing it

He is such a cute dog. Doesn't matter if the photo is off a little bit. My photos are never right either. But that sure seems like a lot get done in 5 days. :applesauce: :applesauce:
