Amanda's HAED QS Christmas Star

After much testing and frogging and fabric purchases, I've finally settled on the fabric count to do this on. I've chosen an 18 count Aida, which obviously makes the design much bigger than intended but I'm ok with that. I will be doing full stitches with 2 strands. I did try 25 count over one full and tent and 28 count 1 strand full and 2 tent. I just couldn't do it. My eyes couldn't handle the strain. It's been so long since I've worked with Aida. It's so stiff..... I'll get over it of course. It's soo much easier to grid and the stitches look great, the coverage is wonderful. I've started it and will post pics soon as I can't get it to work from my iPad.

I'm going to put it in rotation with the Enchanted Alphabet, one week at a time. That way I hope to keep some progress on it and not get overwhelmed.

That is such a pretty design. I think it will look lovely on the 18 ct aida and won't be that much bigger. What counts is enjoying the stitching.
Can't wait to see your progress.

Can't wait to see progress pics for this one - its such a beautiful design! I'm doing my QS on 18 count - it only makes the design a couple of inches bigger which I think is a good thing for a QS!
