I've just recieved the pattern in the mail and have just about all the stash is done save for two rolls of Kreinik and the fabric. I'm trying to buy more locally so I'll be checking out a local needle shop for the fabric but if they don't have what I'm looking for I'll buy online.
I also purchased one pack of beads in the wrong color which I'm not sure isn't a happy accident. The chart calls for Mill Hill 03021 which is Royal Pearl, a white pearl bead. The one I mistakenly picked up is 03012 which are antique autumn heather, a rich matte rainbow olive is the best description I can give it. I think they might actually be more lovely than the white or at least I might integrate them with the other beads somehow. Is anyone else interested in starting a SAL of this pattern?

This definitely is going to be fun to watch! Very pretty and your accidental purchase of the beads may well look great with this!!!

What type of fabric are you looking for? that is going to be a beautiful project. I also think your accidental purchase of the beads may be a really good accident. I am looking forward to your updates.

Ooo, what a beautiful design. And I agree with others about your beads. I love matte beads. They really stand out.

That's going to be stunning. By the sounds of it the (accidental) beads sound perfect.

Great chart!! I've had similar headaches with beads! I ordered the right color but not the right size..

I am thinking of doing it on hand dyed purple opalescent fabric. There are so many greens on this that doing on green (which it calls for 28 ct Jobelan in Forrest Queen from polstitches) might be too much. I think a really subtle lavender opalescent 28 ct fabric will make all the greens really pop. I'm putting all the bobbins for it on a couple of rings to take with me to the shop when I look for fabric.

She's from Joan Elliott's Ultimate Cross Stitch Collection. It's a "book-a-zine" of patterns that is recently out although mostly sold out I guess. The publisher is making up more because the demand was crazy for it. I only wanted to do the Green Goddess so I got it off Ebay for a really reasonable price from someone who got the book and split up the patterns. According to Joan Elliott's web blog she'll be a chartpack in about six months that you can get directly from her website.
