Fabrics?

I was wondering if we had a thread on the different fabrics? I know the basics of aida, evenweave and linen. I've mostly just used what I could get at the craft stores, which has been okay up to now, especially with my having stuck with afghans for 20 years. I now have some 22 ct hardanger, which I am thinking of using for my 3rd HAE, but not really sure how it is different from what would be 22 ct aida (if they have it). I see that people talk about lugana (is that a brand?). I know that some are brands like zwiegart. I feel like I should know more about this, but that is an area that I have minimal knowledge and would like to learn more. If we have a thread somewhere I can't find it. If not, I would really appreciate learning more. If there is a good website please point me in that direction. I will do a "google search" tomorrow, but its getting late here and its one thing to type on the forum, and another to do serious on line research . So I'm tossing this one out.
