Bradley Tapestry wool to DMC/Anchor floss conversion

I've fallen in love with Elizabeth Bradley's beautiful Animal Alphabet from her book "Needlework Animals" and I'd really like to stitch it up into ornaments.

http://www.needlepoint.com/kits/elizabe ... t-rug.html

The problem is it is charted in the book for her tapestry wools (A1-N11) and of course, I want to cross stitch it. Does anybody have a conversion from her wools to DMC and/or Anchor floss colors?

I've tried going from Bradley's wools to DMC wools to DMC floss, but I'm only finding about a quarter of the DMC wool numbers on my floss conversion charts. I've also tried working with my DMC color card to visually match floss to the photos in the book, but that is about driving me crazy!! At this point, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Deb

Is this what you need? (it's a pdf chart, need adobe reader to view it.)

Thanks Teresa, I have been trying to use that one, plus in the book, Bradley also gives a chart for conversions to DMC wool (some of the numbers are different). I still can't find about 2/3 of the DMC wool numbers on either of the "floss to wool" conversion charts". (pulling hair out in frustration)

I really think I need a "wool to floss" conversion chart rather than a "floss to wool" chart, if that makes any sense. I was hoping someone who also does needlepoint might be able to help.

Thanks again for looking!!

Deb

OK, I didn't realize that was a conversion to DMC wool. Here is a conversion chart from the DMC site that is a floss to wool and the wool numbers seem silimar to the other chart I sited. I don't know what their wool was called so that might not even be helpful.

I hope you find it. You might contact DMC, see if they can point you in the right direction.

EDIT: upon further research that should be the right conversion. It's listed on this site as well:http://www.needlepointers.com/ShowArtic ... NavID=1558

Thanks Tia. I bookmarked that page. I don't need a conversion chart now, but one never knows and that looks pretty all encompassing.

I've bookmarked that site too, Tia. The "old to new DMC wool numbers" list may help me find the wool numbers on the newer DMC "floss to wool" chart. Plus, contacting DMC directly is a good idea! Thanks for the help.
