Right it time i started stitching again. So this is my nrew project. Its a FREEBIE HAED, called LEGACY EMPRESS. Its the 10th one down on the link below -

Has you can tell, it should be stitched on 25 count, but im going to stitch it on 14 count cream aida.

Out of all the free charts they have to offer this is the one that caught my eye.

Its 225 x 406 stitches, so allowing a 2 inch border all around, it will measure a massive 21 inch x 33 inch.
Will post an update when i have something to show. Has now im just sorting out the vast amount of threads it needs.

I love that one. I came very close to downloading it also. (I have several of the freebies waiting in the wings right now!). I can't wait to see your progress. Even sorting out the threads will be fun!

Made a star on this yesterday and managed to get roughly 300 stitches done.
Ive taken the unusual step of starting on page 7. Because, unfortunatly some of the colours on the first 6 pages are out of stock at my local wool shop. And he wont be able to get them in for a couple of weeks.
Here is a picture of what ive done so far -


And here is a picture of how big the finished picture will be. Has you can tell by the phone in the bottom left corner of the aida, its going to be big.

I wont the using the hoop all the time, im just waiting for the new bars to be delivered for my frame.
Also the stitches on the right, are just some test stitches, to see how the coverage will look like.

great start and it doesn't matter which page you begin on. probably more fun doing it a bit out of order. I am going to enjoy watching your updates on this one.

What colors do you need? I'll see if I have extra.

It is a lovely design. I have it on my maybe will so one day list.

Good idea to test for coverage on the actual fabric your using, it gets you fully prepared for such a major project!

Wow!!!!

That's a great idea to include an object like a phone in a pic to show the scale of these massive projects.

Below is a picture of what ive got done after 2 days. So far only used 3 colours. By my count there are over 600 stitches. So still a very very long way to go.
