Salutations from another newbie!

Hello all!
I am a knitter/spinner with way more half finished projects than can possibly be healthy.
Recently, I was just clicking about on the internet and saw a sampler. Suddenly, all these memories of the cross-stitching that used to decorate my grandmother's house flooded into my mind, and I was like, "I can do that. I want to do that!" The next day, I bought a kit for little kids and made a beautiful sampler in minutes. HA! actually, i was covered in floss for about 7 days straight and managed to make a 3-inch pumpkin.
I am so proud of this thing. You would think I just stitched world peace.
Anyway, I live in the Bronx, NY, I love all things Victorian, and I am going to comic con as Poison Ivy.
I can't wait to learn more about cross-stitch and embroidery from all the great people here!

Hello and welcome from South Carolina. Years and Years and Years ago I went to a few comic book conventions in Chicago. They were lots of fun. I'll bet you can find lots of cross stitch patterns and kits on comic book characters. They would be fun to do.
