Fljots Tree of Stitches - Finished!

I finally took the plunge and joined the site to get Abi Gurden's ToS, and yesterday I got the password for the full thing, and was able to print it off! YAY!!!
However, the pattern was so tiny! It printed out as 4 1/2 x 5" - much too small for me to be comfortable with reading it! So, today, I took it to be photocopied as an enlarged image - unfortunately, I was in a hurry to pick up my grandson from school so I only did one copy, and will have to go back to get more. I hope to make 2 or 3 - maybe more - in different colour choices.
The spare bit of today I had available was spent going through my stash threads, trying to select colour combinations I like! When I have completed that - well, more or less, cos we all change our minds, don't we? - I'll post a pic of the stash (I'm doing it on 28 count cream Zweigart I happen to have). I'm so indecisive about my colours! But so happy to have the design!

Ahhh so that's you asking about colors! LOL you people are confusing me with different names here and there. I'm the one who said my tree was silver, lavender, green and blue.
I'd browse the other trees and see if any color scheme appeals to you, or go from there to make something completely different!
About the chart, I actually ended up stitching from the computer, and zooming adobe in!

Thanks, Karen
I couldn't make any difference with Adobe! But then I'm a bit of a dumbo where computer programmes are concerened!

What a good idea!
And I have looked at all the ToS pics on there! Some are truly lovely, some don't appeal to my coloursense at all - we are all so different in what we find pleasing, aren't we? But I love your ToS colour combinations!
Yes, I recognise some of the names on there, but I didn't realise that was you! I was quite cross they listed me as 'Teresa'. I wanted Fljotsdale, as I am everywhere else. I hate being a Teresa! Always hated it, right from a little girl. I'm much more comfortable being Fljots!

Hey! That's great!

It's nice to know who people are!

I think I put a comment on your tree pic.

There are tons of us in that group. I have been very quiet since I ripped out my TOS a while back, but soon I will have a photo of the new fabric I got (a larger count which I hope will be easier for me) and plan to start it again and see if it will work. My album was Carole's but I don't have a clue what my emails or posts say since it has been a while. I do check it though and keep track of all of you there as well as here (though as I have said repeatedly its much easier here)
I am glad to know who is who though and am looking forward to "Fljots" TOS when you get started.
Carole

Look forward to seeing your tree Fljotsdale - saw you had joined the Stitch Specialists! I think I stitched mine from the computer screen too - only because I was too tight to waste the ink! You can enlarge and print charts through Adobe -
this link from the Chatelaine Forum tells you how just in case.

I feel for you -- although I'd said I wanted my online name to be Mabel, they listed me as Ilke; I'm all right with being Ilke IRL, but for stitching purposes I'm Mabel
Looking forward to seeing the colours you've chosen for your tree! *settles on magic bench with some tea and a piece of stitching to wait for pics*

Thanks for the link, Mrs MBK!
Mabel, I like Ilke

It's a pretty name, imo, so I'm glad you don't hate it - I spent hours and hours as a child trying to persuade my parents to change my name to any of a series of fantastic names I preferred! None of which I now like, btw!
Anyway:
I spent some very happy time going through my thread stash selecting a series of different combinations, and finally settled on 4 I like - though I'm not that sure of the orangey one...
Here they are
And here they are boxed up and ready to go - except I need to individually bag 'em when I come to start. I have 11 or 12 colours in each selection - not sure I shall use 'em all! - but I wanted to be sure I had enough that went together (in my eyes, anyway) ready to hand.
Not sure which I shall start with - I want to do at least three trees (but we all know that intentions are not always fulfilled

) - but I am most drawn to the blue one at the moment.

The blue is my favorite, but I am biased since I went that way with mine.

Fljots, I love all your colour selections - I think maybe you should make four, one for every season
The blue is gorgeous, but a little too cold for my taste. Like Snow Queen, makes me feel like winter (and we don't even have snow here usually...)
I see what you mean about nicks and names... I tried to be Colibri over there, but they just switched right to my real name - no wonder, since it's in my Yahoo profile. Even so, my album is titled Colibri
Looking forward to see your Tree!

Beautiful color selections! The blue one drew my eye first, too, but I love colors in all 4 of them. Can't wait to watch!

I adore the autumnal shades. I think mine will most likely be autumnal when I get round to it (hopefully next year!).
