Vervaco Santa Claus AND SNOWMAN!!

I just finished my first project in a long while because i had stopped since i had wrist issues and practically no time too. It's the first one of a pair, the other one is a snowman. Finished it rather quickly coz its a small count aida that wool can fit in. I had never cross stitched wool before, and it's rather tedious because it knots and frays like crazy and the stitches don't come out as neat.
So here it is: Vervaco Santa Claus, cross stitched with wool.

AND HERE IS SNOWMAN!!!

:applesauce: very cute. I have done crewel work many years ago, and the thread is really more like yarn than thread. It had a lovely look to it, but I much much prefer cross stitch. Still, yours is really cute. I am looking forward to seeing your snowman. Christmas is definitely here on the forum it seems. I love it. Such fun subjects and bright cheerful colors.

How lovely he is. I can well imagine the problems you have had with stitching it in wool, but what a lovely finish it has given to the picture.

It was difficult but worth it I guess. On the other hand i finished it really quickly coz the stitches are so big.

He looks lovely! :applesauce: :applesauce:
But I know what it's like stitching with wool on canvas, and it must be just as bad on aida - if not worse! You really have to keep your thread short!
