Need help finding boxes

I was hoping someone here would have tips to where I can find this. I'm planning on using my tree of stitches on the lid of a wooden box to give as a gift for my mom for Christmas. I thought Michael's would have it but I couldn't find anything suitable there.

If anyone have sites that would sell boxes perfect for cross stitch on the lid, I'd be very grateful!

I've also never tried this so any tips and best boxes to accomplish this would be much appreciated!

It is unbelievable difficult to find anything like this -- I've tried! Especially in the UK. In the US there is Sudberry House who do a whole raft of boxes, trays and so on; not cheap, but as far as I can tell from the website they look good. However, with import duty and postage they are practically unaffordable if you're not in the US, and I haven't found a stockist this side of the ocean.

I did find the thread box that I mounted Resurrection in at Sew & So, but I can't find it on their site anymore. They do still do a smallish keepsake box here which will hold stitching 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Hope that helps!

Forgot to add this link from the Twisted Stitcher on box tops which might be useful.

That's a great link, thanks!

I did once attach a piece of stitching to the top of a box that didn't have an aperture, but that was on canvas so I just cut a piece of felt to the size of my stitching, stitched buttonhole stitch all round the piece (attaching the felt to the back of the canvas as I went) and stuck it on :-)

Here's a pic of it:

Whoa Mabel! That Sudberry House site is exactly what I was looking for, but boy they sure are expensive! They do seem to have the exact size box I need for the TOS. And it'd look so lovely .... Hmmmmmm. I'll sit on it and will let you all know if I do mount the TOS in one of those.

Expensive but gorgeous.

I bought one of the Sudberry House boxes (60 bucks! ). Hopefully it will arrive perfectly and the ToS will mount nicely in it. Will post pics once I do that.
