I remember from my knitting days that you aren't supposed to store wool in plastic bins. Is it okay to store linen fabrics in these bins? I really don't have another choice in the matter except maybe just tossing the fabrics into a cardboard box.

Is it okay to protect these linen fabrics & keep them separated/labeled in plastic baggies, sealed or unsealed?

I keep my spare fabric rolled and in a plastic unsealed bag in a cupboard

All of my fabrics are stored in a plastic container.... And most of them I inherited from my mother and that is how she kept them too. So you should be fine

Linen will do fine stored in plastic containers. I keep mine separated in ziploc bags (colour, count, etc) in two huge plastic drawer bins (I have quite the stash of linen). What you have to watch out for with linen is that is loves to absorb liquids and other substances. Don't store it with wools, don't store your white linen with linen that has rich colour (in case it bleeds off), etc.

The main problem is condensation so as along as they're in a cool, dry place out of the sun they should be ok. You can put moisture absorbers in the box too, that ensures if there is any issue it's the moisture thingo and not your fabric that absorbs the moisture.

Ketta gave me the great tip of using ziplock bags - and that is exactly what I do now! Fabric is stored by type, count and colour and you can easily see what you have to hand!
