I finally received my threads and fabric in the post and I am so thrilled to start.

to recap - I have this picture drawn by my fiance Gat (who is quite handy with a pencil and Photoshop)

We agreed to make presents this year so I asked our very own Skitzzzz to chart this for me, and it is amazing

He was back from London this weekend so I didn't get a great deal done

I get made redundant on Friday which will leave me with a lot more stitching time (and a lot less money for stash, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes)

Here is my progress anyway :D

:applesauce: Good start on this, and you sound like you are handling the job situation well. Are you looking for another job? In the meantime, stitching is a great way to occupy your time. And I think making gifts, regardless of finances, is a wonderful way to go. I know I should do more of it. I usually give the gift when it is finished because I can't wait to give it, rather than saving for birthdays or Christmas so then I find I have to go to the store for a present when the occasion arises. I need more discipline.

I think your gift is going to be extra special.

I am going through stages at the moment one minute I am imagining all those cold days that are fast approaching and loving the fact I can stay in bed and don't have to set an alarm unless I want to do something. then in the next breath I am sobbing my heart out wondering how we will ever survive without my income. At the moment I am ok though :)

I am looking for another job but they are few and far between, my village has nothing in the way of commerce or businesses so I have to look to the next town which is one of the most deprived in the UK (with the third largest Jobcentre in the UK as well!)

I hope so but he is making me something as well so I am scared at what he might produce!! @rotfl:
