How do I make a chart bigger?

Post by taylorgrove »

Ok guys this is probably a dumb question but I need to reprint a page for one of my wips. I want to make the chart bigger but I dont know how to zoom the picture for printing. I know how to make it bigger but when I try to print it, it just prints out normal. Can anyone be able to help me? I hope that doesnt sound confusing.

It depends a lot I think on your printer, but most printers, when the box with the settings etc comes up for you to make changes (like number of copies, pages to print etc) should include one for "scale". The default setting is usually 100%. I often make it smaller so I can get things on one page, but if you change that setting to 120 or more you should see your charts bigger and on more pages. It won't have any shading for overlapping, but the chart should be bigger. What kind of printer do you have?

If your chart is a PDF (i.e it opens in Adobe) - then you can use the instructions here over on the Chatelaine Yuku Board to use the Adobe snapshot tool. It is very easy to use and is an amazing tool for enlarging charts. I use it to enlarge my charts for HAEDs and make a regular HAED chart page go over two pages of A4. You can use it to enlarge any section of a chart to your liking. If you have any questions about it you can always PM me.
