Hello all.
I re-started this one about 4 weeks ago, but not done anything on it because last week my ageing farther had a nasty fall and ended up in hospital. So the outcome is that he as finaly decided to upsticks from Dudley and move in with me and the family down here in sunny Corby.
Well here it is - AOL - Its all hot air. Below are some progress pictures
And a close up of the first baloon.
For those of you who like looking at backsides, here is mine.
The first baloon finished complete with back stitch.
What it looks like now. With both baloons fand the boy finished and the start of the girl.
And here is a little someting i was recently given by a family friend.

Great update. Your stitching is so neat. I'm not sure I want any closeups like yours. the colors are just lovely in this one too. And I love your stitching box. I have one similar to that which my husband gave me years ago. I keep it close with lots of my supplies. Very handy. I am sure you will put it to good use. I'm looking forward to your next update.

Nice update! Very colourful project.
I have a box very similar to yours - I use it for reels of sewing cotton - I have lots of colours - and guess what? I hardly ever mend anything...

(The only colours that really get used are denim blues, cos I have to shorten even petite length jeans).

Great colors!
Nifty box too, makes me think I need to come up with a nice storage system that looks good in my living room as that's where I end up keeping everything since I stitch watching TV.

Your stitching is just lovely! I love seeing the backs of projects too. It's something I do monthly on my blog since I'm slightly OCD LOL
I hope your father recovers quickly!

Here is the progress of the AOY. With everything thats been going on ive not managed to get much done.
And is is the progress of yet another new start for me. Its the Boothy Threads ' Cut thru Pirate Ship'. Now although i usualy stitch everything on 14 count Aida this designe is stitched on 16 count. So to begin with i found it a little hard on the eye. But after stitching for a couple of hours i got used to it.
Ive also decided to stitch the backstitch as i go along, as suggested by someone on this forum.
Now this is the first time ive ever used Madeira threads and to be totaly honest with you, i found them to be a bit springy to start with, but got the hang of them now.
