Hi everyone, I've been away from stitching for a while now and now the bug is making a return - at last :)
I have decided to start Mini Citrine by Rachel Anderson, I started her last night and so not much progress made yet. I received all the floss for the design today and the colours are wonderful, I am itching to see progress ;)

Here she is:

I am starting on page one, I thought the background would be fun to stitch as I love the art deco style stonework, and I love the colours in the fairy herself, and her dress - wow.

Anyway, I shall update my progress regularly, she is a large design and I'm stitching her on 18 count fabric, so she'll be huge when complete.

Thanks for looking :)

The Art Deco is lovely and it makes such a gorgeous contrast to the stunning dress that she's wearing.

I'll look forward to your updates :)

Thanks everyone, it took a while to choose the design I wanted to stitch, but I loved how she looked a bit like peaches and cream and thought I would give her a go.

I was tempted by the mini version but as I wasn't sure how much detail would be lost, I opted for the full size.

Hopefully a progress pic will come very soon :)

After feeling somewhat intimidated by the full size version, I thought I would change to the mini as it seemed much more manageable for me. It is 16 pages instead of 52 so much better.

I'm expecting the detail to be not as good as the full size, but so far I'm really happy with how it's turning out and so I thought I would post a progress pic.

I need to order more threads to fill in the holes, but I can see the stonework taking shape already. I looks so much better from a distance rather than up close, the butterfly isn't all that detailed but as it's such a small part of the design, the larger butterflies and the fairy seem promising.

Thanks for looking.
