Hi all,
I'm just starting out in the world of making up my own "kits" I found some patterns I like and am thinking about making them but I'm unsure of how to figure out how much aida I will need. I know how many stitches wide and tall the project will be.

There are a couple other sites that can help you calculate as well. This is just the first one I could find in my favorites list.

There's an iPhone/iPad app as well called XStitchCalc for figuring out fabric sizes. And it's free!

Thank you. I just downloaded the app and hopefully it will synch with my iPod tomorrow. Too lazy to do that tonight. It will be a handy little freebie. I think it depends on whether or not my iPod has the right IOS which I don't have a clue about. Still, since it didn't cost anything if it doesn't work that will be okay. I love my XStitcher for keeping track of DMC threads.
