An in-between mini peacock

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

Remember the credit card holder I bought at half price at the K&S Show to make into a Christmas present for DH? Well, I'd forgotten that he always stuffs receipts into it as well which works because his present holder has a clasp with popper button to close it -- and this one doesn't :-(. So I decided to turn it into a treat for myself :-)

The mini peacock I designed for use on silk gauze turned out to be just the right size when stitched on 22ct hardanger fabric. As the holder is a beige-y colour I decided on black fabric, and I used lightish shades of Chameleon overdyed Soie d'Alger. And here it is, first the stitching, then mounted:

If you'd like to stitch the peacock, you can download the chart from my Freebie page.
