Dimension Gold Magnificent Wizard update 3/11

Since I'm working on a project for DD (Feed My Sheep), I've also started DS's Magnificent Wizard. I'm going to try to have it done for his birthday in December, but we'll see. It's on 18 count black fabric. Just like DD's project, I'm only working on this while they are at school or asleep.
Here's what it will look like:

That'll look stunning! Is the white a satin thread, it looks so shiny?

Actually, the colors are really washed out. The fabric is actually black. The 2 colors I've stitched with so far are black and a blended color (blue-purple and gray if I remember correctly).

I'm so glad I saw this thread! When I was a kid I used to go to the craft store and see this one all stitched up. Its so cool you're making it for your child.

Conner actually picked it out a couple of years ago when he saw it in Joann's. I bought it cheaper on ebay. He's been pestering me to start it for over a year. Every time I finished and mailed off a model, he asked if it was time for his dragon yet. There's a chance he might actually get 2 cross stitches this year--hubby has been working on a horses kit for him for 2 years or so too. I love the way the Dimension Gold kits stitch up, so it will be fun doing this even though it's on black.

Here's another update. I haven't had as much time to work on this as I was hoping right now. This area is the bottom of the dragon's wing on the left side. The colors are definitely washed out. Hopefully I'll eventually get a decent picture.

Great stitching! I know for a fact that tiny stitches on black fabric can be challenging!
