Johanna's 2012 project - Twilight Bridge

As a serial starter, I decided on a new tactic. Which involved a new start ;) I am going to ignore everything that is sat in boxes making me feel guilty. Start a new project, and with the exception of one small exchange I have semi-committed myself to in June, no other stitching is to be touched until this piece is done. Start to finish. I thought a kit would be easier, without having to go to my stash to hunt out threads, I am less likely to be tempted by something else.

I didn't pick the easiest of designs though did I....though not particularly huge projects, the Dimensions Gold charts are monsters lol

For anyone unfamiliar, here is the beauty I picture hanging on my wall, if I ever stitck to my goal....wish me luck!!

I always did like that design from Dimensions, and in general I'm not much of a landscape/building person.

Excited to see your work on this - good luck! :applesauce:

It's such a beautiful, peaceful scene isn't it :) I am not a fan of stitching anything floral so not looking forward to that part! lol

That is a lovely chart. there are so many different things happening that you will never get bored. And yes, keep posting updates for encouragement. It will be fun to watch this one progress.

You have a lovely kit, I am sure with photos you will see how much you have done since the last post and it will stitch up quicker than you thought? Lots of photos please?

Oh, that's so nice! :applesauce:

I'm working on a Dimensions Gold kit now, and really enjoying it. If they'd make their fabric just a bit bigger they'd be perfect, but are still great. :)

I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing it stitch up so quickly if its your only project.

Yes there will definitely be lots of progress pics - I have only done a couple hundred stitches of nothingness and I am itching to be able to take a picture lol

I agree, the fabric could do with being a couple inches larger, it won't fit on my frame so I am having to stitch in-hand, not my favourite way to work so an added challenge!

You could try basting/sewing some scrap fabric to the edges to make it a little bigger to fit on your frame. Mine is on my scroll frame so the small borders isnt' that much of an issue for me.
