Hello everyone,

My name is Maud and I am a cross-stitch addict 8)
I am French, lived in the US for the past 12 years, and recently moved to Ireland. Like it so far, but I can't find a store that sells cross-stitching supplies. I miss Michael's and Joann's so much! So if anybody have suggestions in the Dublin area, please do share.

Project-wise, I just finished this birth record http://sewandso.co.uk/Products/Wild-Thi ... 73250.aspx for my son, and I am now working on a Winnie the Pooh height chart for him as well.

Lovely to meet you all!

 Hello and welcome from South Carolina. That is a great birth record. Another member did that one recently. I think it is really cute. We love to look at pictures, so feel free to post as many as you like of the height chart. Everything that is Winnie the Pooh is cute in my book.

Welcome from Connecticut!
There's nothing like having a shop nearby... but the internet is amazing for finding great things these days... The stuff you can find at http://www.sewandso.co.uk/will blow Michael's and JoAnns out of the water!

Thanks for the welcomes! Nachstenliebe we used to be neighbors, I was in Boston :D
Sew and so is great, but I really miss being able to run to the store to grab a few skeins, an accessory, etc... Now I have to wait for my goodies to be shipped over from the UK, all that precious stitching time wasted

rcperryls I'll try to take some tonight after the kiddo is in bed. Should I start a SAL thread or just add them to this one?

I would probably start an SAL thread. I think some people go straight to that forum and I know they wouldn't want to miss any pics of work that are posted. I am looking forward to seeing it.

Thanks Mabel! I was happy when I found it, I didn't want the usual cutesy thing with teddy bears and toys. It turned out to be perfectly appropriate, he IS a wild thing!
