Joan Elliott's Cinderella: update 25/3/12, pg 3

So now that I've finished my Gift from God birth sampler I have been wondering what to start on next. I have my Galaxy Image project (
http://www.crossstitchforum.com/viewtop ... =6&t=14390" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank) that I can go back to now but this is ALOT of black and I wanted something colourful that I can stitch alongside and so I decided that I will attempt Cinderella. I saw the design in the Cross Stitch Gold and fell in-love with her straight away. My 5 year-old niece will love it.
I've just ordered the material from Polstitches and will sort out the threads whilst I wait for that to arrive. I'm slightly nervous about the amount of beads and gold thread as I haven't done beads before but am willing to learn and I feel confident enough about my own stitching now to do her justice.
Will update on my progress once I get started on her

Can't wait to see your start on this one! It is on my list but I am resisting buying the fabby from Polstitches until I have a few other projects complete as I know I will want to start it as soon as I get a whiff of the fabric!

You'll love stitching it! Don't be put off by the metallics and beads, you'll be fine. Joan's designs are a dream to stitch, they flow and are very intuitive.
Really looking forward to seeing your start on this one!

That is going to be lovely and a good break from Galaxy. I would be so impatient waiting for my fabric to arrive. Can't wait to see this one started.

I am twiddling my thumbs. I impatient to get going but also excited about seeing my first piece of hand-dyed evenweave

In the mean time I am ploughing on with the HUGE amount of black stitching on Galaxy

So glad you're stitching this one. My two girls instantly chorused 'sew this one for us mummy' when the mag arrived, but I just have too much on at the moment. I'll love watching your progress.
