My 20 yo daughter has started to collect her christmas theme and it is elves. I would like to do her a stocking. Has anyone seen stockings with elves?

Your daughter sounds like someone who plans ahead. I thought if I went to my favorite website stash supplier (123Stitch) I would find tons of stockings with elves. Found lots of stockings but no elves. Did a google search and found Santa and Elves Christmas Stocking at Candamar Designs. There were a few others that showed up in the search, but this one is very cute. I hope you find what you are looking for and that you will stay with us here and show us what you choose and what other cross stitch projects you are doing.

My suggestion would be to map out a basic stocking shape then fill it with elf designs and her name.

I thought about that as a last resort Marilyn but I really dont know how to go about doing a scratch type design like that. Now I can do it by digitizing for my machine embroidery no problem but I want this to be handmade not machine.
