Start as you mean to go on, I say! Make sure the kettle,

and

are near the top of a box, too! Good luck for the move!

I was just wondering how the move went and hoping it all went without any hitches.

Good luck! Moving is a stressful business so you've done the right thing in assuring that your 'Stress-buster' kit (
the stitching!) is right at the top!
Oh yes and the teapot/favourite mug and bikkies!

WW, agree about the teapot -- I'd be lost without it

The move all went well thank you and we are mostly unpacked. I have been stash sorting as well. I am ashamed of how much 'scraps' of fabric I have. I don't think I need to buy anymore for many years.

This was when I put most of the stash away. I have also taken the chance to sort out stash on the computer and again I'm ashamed to realize that I have 15 HAED.
Yesterday was my birthday. It was not easy as my two boys forgot to post my card(although they were very upset about it) and my partner, with whom things are a bit rocky, didn't "bother" to get me anything. So I had no pressies at all.
I took us out to lunch but it was a very difficult day.
However, this is the nearest beach to our new house (5 mins away) so it was lovely to look at while we ate.

And finally a picture of me on my birthday.
I uswed to hate pictures of me but since this last time last year I was not necessarily expected to live I somehow treasure pictures more and
don't care how fat or old I look!

You don't look fat or old and I am glad to "see" you. Sounds like the move went pretty well. 15 HAED is not over the top by any means. I have managed to accumulate 25

in less than a year (including the freebies I downloaded in the beginning and never did). That is a lovely view you had for lunch and I hope that next year everyone remembers your birthday. And the present is having the birthday. I have come to appreciate them more every year.

Liz, sorry your birthday wasn't all it might have been. Hope you have settled in to your new home - what a lovely view so close to home too.
I think a lot of us have lots of fabric stashed away for who know what projects to come
Great photos - and you don't look old or fat !

Liz - sorry things didn't work out as you had hoped, I'm sure your boys will make up for it tomorrow. Considering everything you've been through I think you are amazing! I'm just racking my brains trying to figure out where you took that photo...........!

It's Charlestown, the nearest beach to St Austell. They have those lovely tall ships there most of the time. They were putting a new mast on yesterday so were up and down the rigging.
It has been used for filming a lot. Apparently Dr Who and a big blockbuster moviue whose name escapes me.
It is well worth a visit - a lovely little place.
