I am so happy. I have just come back from a trip to London with my daughter. It was my Christmas present from her and her partner. We had a trip down the Thames by boat and went to Greenwich which had the most amazing buildings. It was hard to believe they were built in the 1600's. We had dinner in a Mexican restaurant in Convent Garden. The next morning we went to the Knitting and Stitching Show at Olympia. We walked through the door and I could not believe my eyes, the first person we met was Faye Whitaker my favourite designer I have quite a collection of her designs.We saw Margaret Sherry and Michael Powell. The show was amazing and the quilts in the quilting section were superb. I came home tired but happy and a lot poorer, I spent far to much money on stash but I could not resist.
PS forgot we stayed at The Waldorf Hilton.

What an amazing gift, so thoughtful of your family and then the trip to Olympia for that show. WOW. So glad you had a good stash buying spree too, it will all bring back those wonderful memories of the time spent there.
