Hey guys, first SAL here. This may take a while and will need encouragement to keep at it as I'm not too keen on it at all. It was chosen by my mum for the livingroom as she has recently decorated with a rose theme. Benn dug back out the drawer as shes now hounding me for it and sees me stitching other things, oops
Anyway this is where im picking up from.

This is a good place to come for encouragement on a piece you don't love. I think it is beautiful and you are doing a great job of stitching. Is it the one rose? or a much larger piece? The colors are really lovely and you've done a great job so far.

Thanks ladies!
There are 2 full roses, 1 sort of side and 2 buds with the stems to the left. Its 14 x 9 inches so not too big but big enough

Got a fair chunk done tonight after knuckling down and getting on with it. Think I will do an update after the weekend as I can stitch a lot then

Very pretty combination of pinks. Although I am not a fan of the colour pink I have discovered I like its variations in cross stitch designs, particularly in roses. Hope you do stay with this it sounds like a lovely design.

It looks like a lovely rose. And there's always plenty of virtual

and

here, as well as

and

to help encourage. The best thing is there's even no side effects, no matter how much

and

you have

I know how you feel!
I did a Rose for my friend when she found it too much for her level of skill!
I hated every stitch!!!
BUT!!!! the look on her face when I finished it and it was framed and on the wall compensated for all that!!
SO! Persevere and get it out of the way!!
Just think of all the lovely things you can do when you've finished it!

&

will help a lot!
Yes, the thought of my mums face when she receives this framed is what has made me pick it back up, shes had a tough year and hopefully put a smile on her face, even if for only the 5 mins it takes to admire it!

I know how u feel as I have a line-up of family members that wants me to stitch something for them. It is hard since most of what they have chosen are very Big projects. Especially past, present and forever by Disney!
Your roses are lovely. Will look forward to ur finished roses!
