Cross Stitcher patchwork cushion

Does anybody understand how t make the patchwork cushion from Cross Stitcher (issue 252)? Thank you.
I'm assuming you mean the making up of it after you've stitched the piece? There are instructions on how to do it in the magazine but I don't find that Cross Stitcher always explains this very well! I know if I explained it you would only be more confused - so your best bet would be to do a google search for a you tube video (I always find these mega helpful not being a sewing expert!) on how to make a log cabin quilting block as the principles are the same (just treat your stitched square as the centre block of fabric).
