I just couldn't work on any of my big projects the past few days from either not being able to get comfy or from pure intimidation. But as we were looking through the storage room yesterday I came across a cross stitch kit from Bacilli that my nan had given us a long time ago, almost 8 years ago
I worked on it today and managed to get one full shoe done. I think I might stitch up each of these shoes individually after to give one each to my aunties. I could have gotten it done sooner in the evening if I wasn't rummaging through my stash of threads to make sure I had the right colors. I ended up ditching a majority of the threads that came with the kit because I couldn't tell any difference from pale yellow and light yellow and all those freaking beige and ecru
Here is the finished shoe though:
And here is a photo of what it should look like when completely done:

I really like the look of the single shoe though.

That's a really neat idea to stitch them separately to give to your aunts.
Very pretty shoe!

very pretty shoe and that is a lovely design. I had a friend who used to collect the vintage shoe miniatures that were so popular years ago. She would have gone nuts for a cross stitch like the one you are doing.

That would be nice to stitch a shoe for each of them. You could finish it as a coaster or pincushion maybe?

A very elegant shoe and I am looking forward to seeing the rest of them. What a lovely idea to do them separately.
