Ok so I have succumbed to the lure of HAED. I am doing Total Eclipse by Schimm Schimmel

This is my first progress picture I am working 2 strands over 1 on 25 count. I ordered 25 count magic guide evenweave from Cross Stitch Heaven

And this is the second picture the magic guide is done as if working evenweave over 9 holes so each block is actually 20 x 20 instead of 10 x 10 so this is 400 completed stitches.

I love this guy's work! I added the penguins in space one to my list I can't wait to see it when it's finished!

That is going to be alot of black!!!!!!!!! Good luck and hope to see loads of progress pictures!!!!!

Great start. I love this chart also and have it in my wish list too. I am going to love watching you stitch it. Just persevere with the black. It will be worth it in the end. Looking forward to the next update.

Sorry if this comes up three times but don't know what is going on with my lap top? Anyway another huge fan of Schim Schimmel here too, love this chart, I have a few of his to stitch, will be watching for updates on this one, love the penguins too!

Great start Nettie . Like Carole says, keep persevering with the black and you'll slowly but surely plough your way through it!!

The black is mainly the bit above the moon the rest appears to be shades of blue. Looking over the chart I get to the top of the white cubs head on the top row of pages so there looks to be most pages have more than one colour to do. I'm not finding the black a problem so far so no boredom yet!

I am also doing a HAED called Moon Glow by Selina Fenech and it's all blues and blacks around the main design...the 1st page was purely black I gridded so that I could come back to stitching a section of black after a section of colour... I'm on a bit of a break with this HAED while I finish Coral Addiction (another HAED)

Maybe you can do this too???

Sandz no doubt I will take breaks I have a few projects on the go and the majority should probably become UFO's!

Miners it is ready gridded it is DMCs Magic Guide and honestly I love it!
